The signing ceremony of the implementation agreement between the PS Ministry of Water, Sanitation, and Irrigation Mr Julius Korir, CBS and Tanathi Water Works Development Agency (TAWWDA) CEO Eng Fidelis K. Kyengo for the Namanga Water Supply and Sanitation Project was held today 12th September 2025, at Maji House marks a significant milestone in enhancing water accessibility in Kajiado region. The project funded by the African Development Bank. The project aims to ¹:
– Improve Water Infrastructure:
– Enhance Sanitation Services: Develop a sewerage system, wastewater treatment facilities, ablution blocks, and water kiosks.

Project Scope:

– Intake Weir: Part of the dam’s infrastructure to harness water resources.
– Water Supply Pipeline: To distribute clean water to residents.
– Sewerage System and Wastewater Treatment Facilities: Improve sanitation services and reduce waterborne diseases.
– Ablution Blocks and Water Kiosks: Increase access to clean water and sanitation facilities. The implementation of the project starts with Designs review in October 2025 and Civil Engineering Works in January 2026
