The Committee on Blue Economy, Water and Irrigation led by the Chairperson, Hon. Kangogo Bowen (Marakwet East), accompanied by Ag. CEO Fidelis Kyengo visited the Mavoko Water Supply Project funded by the Government of Kenya and the Belgian Government. The project implemented by Tanathi Water Works Development Agency and commissioned in April 2023 is able to produce a total of 17,000m3/day of water inclusive of 5000m3/day from the Northern Collector tunnel. The committee on a fact finding mission appreciated the need for allocation of more resources for the lastmile connectivity by both the National Government and County Government of Machakos to serve residents of Syokimau, Mlolongo and Athi River
