EACC REPORT ON COMPLIANCE RISK MONITORING OF DAMS PROJECTS IN KENYA

The Cabinet Secretary Water, Sanitation and Irrigation Eng. Eric Mugaa accompanied by the PS State Department for Water and Sanitation Julius Korir, CBS, CEOs and HoDs received EACC Report on dams. The event took place at the Kenya Water Institute (KEWI), South C.

The Report is to enable the Ministry place systems that will enhance compliance to regulatory requirements. This will ultimately make it difficult for corruption to thrive during the implementation stages.

The Ethics and Anti Corruption Commission (EACC) is mandated by law to combat corruption related cases through investigations, prevention, public education, and the enforcement of Ethics and Integrity in governance.

During his closing remarks about the report, CS Mugaa revealed that the Ministry and its agencies will review the findings and eventually take necessary

actions to address any gaps, concerns, and reinforce compliance in transparency and accountability in dam projects countrywide.
