Tanathi WWDA had received funds from the Gok towards implementation of Kiambere-Mwingi Phase II last Mile connectivity project to supply water to Kakunike, Kathumbini, Kwa Nguru and Tulanduli market centres. The principle objective was to improve water availability and health within the target areas. The project is within Kyuso ward in Mwingi North Constituency, Kitui County.
The scope of works contracted was to get water from Kiambere-Mwingi main line GPS (N 9921135.66, E 398815.11 Z 996.25m, 1No. Booster station, Raising main, Water tanks (3No. 225m3 Ground Masonry Tanks, 10M3 and 100m3 Elevated steel tank), Distribution line, 4No.Water kiosks STD valve chambers and marker post, thrust and anchor blocks all with a cost of Ksh. 58,334,892. besiktas escort Start date of the contract was 6/2/2020 and completion date was expected to be 26/03/2021.
