INTRODUCTION
The Government of Kenya through Tanathi Water Works Development Agency is implementing Mavoko Drinking Water Supply Project funded by the Government of Kenya and Belfius Bank of Belgium
The project main achievement is the increase of service delivery from 3hours to 24 hours by increasing the treated water supply from 3,000m3/day to 12,000m3/day. The existing connections are 9,500. The project targets 20,000 connections (500,000 people) which is a mix of Domestic, Commercial, Institutional and Industrial.

Status on Construction of Mavoko Drinking Water Supply Project The Contract for construction of Mavoko Drinking Water Supply Project was signed on 17th November 2017 between the Government of Kenya and the Contractor ASPAC International for a period of 30 Months with the completion date set on 18th August 2020. The Contractor was granted an extension due to several challenges on site. The project currently is 100% complete and most of the components have been tested and operational.
